  1. Does anybody have any idea how many people usually get accepted after they interview? 50%? 60%?
  2. Mine did, if you can't find it shoot me a PM.
  3. Worst: Stanford hands down. Why do I have to complete 9 pages beforehand so I can start filling my letter of recommendation information?! Pointless! Best: Baylor College of Medicine (called them and they were wonderful!), Rockefeller (easiest application ever, only 1 essay and not many filler questions).
  4. Does anybody know if MIT only sends one wave of interviews? I am kinda nervous that I might have been axed at MIT too....
  5. It was an e-mail timed at about 3:30 California time.
  6. JUST GOT AN INTERVIEW AT STANFORD!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!! Biology by the way.
  7. Just got my UC Berkeley MCB rejection, not that I was not expecting it...
  8. Well considering they are 13 different home programs, that could as easily be labelled as 13 different departments, it does not surprise me. Only thing I am mad about is that they are sending rejections via snail mail, I mean, how hard is it to send an e-mail nowadays?
  9. I would not lose hope on Baylor IMBS yet, I just got my invite 20 minutes ago.
  10. Just got a Baylor College of Medicine IMBS interview! Dates are Feb 6-8 or March 3-4!
  11. It seems MIT Microbiology has started to send out interviews, this might mean that Biology will send interviews tomorrow or Monday.
  12. I am stubborn and decided to call the admissions office at Stanford Biosciences and I was told that those who get selected for interviews will receive an e-mail or phone call this Friday or next Monday and those who are not will receive a letter via snail mail (the lady that picked up actually called it snail mail, haha). Here's to waiting a few more days....
  13. I'm just confused at all the things I her from Stanford. Based on my call, which was specific to the Biology home program, notifications will be sent in the coming weeks, and based on what the biosciences webpage says (During the week of January 6, 2014, the committees will start to contact those applicants who have been selected for an interview) we should have already heard something by now. Sigh.... At least we can expect MIT to inform us pretty soon!
  14. I just called student services at Stanford Biology and they told me that people who are selected for interviews should expect to receive an e-mail within the next few weeks and those who are rejected will be informed via snail mail.
  15. I will call in a few minutes and I'll post whatever they tell me. Update: I called like 3 numbers at Stanford and none picked up. I'll call again in 30 mins.
  16. They might be both neuro if we take into account that the neuro admissions committee met this Monday. Please let it be neuro...
  17. And they won't say from which program too ! I want to know if it is from one of the programs I applied to...
  18. Many, if not all, of Stanford's bio-sciences programs met Yesterday and today to review applications! Hopefully we'll be hearing something later this week!
  19. Invite from UW-Madison CMB!!! February 6-9 and Feb 20-23! So excited!
  20. So nervous for tomorrow and the coming week! It could go either way...
  21. Another international student posted a JHU- BCMB result. I got an e-mail telling me that I would receive news this week and I got nothing. I am dying!
  22. Oh wow, thanks for pointing that out, I kinda stopped going to their websites after I submitted my application. Next week can't come any sooner....
  23. Not that I doubt you (based on previous years), but how do you know that? Did you call?
  24. Based on last year's results, Stanford won't start sending invites until next week! Next week will either be hellish or great. I am starting to dislike weekends...
  25. I'm pretty sure Stanford won't start sending interviews until mid January, so don't lose hope!
