They seems to be relaxed about the deadline but if this happens then they ask someone else to enroll. Someone on the waiting list (if they have one) or someone else.

Yep it was okmeow. Lucky bastard. I suppose they told their top choice for aid first and then they'll tell everyone else as they know what funds can be allocated to whichever students...when are you visiting?

Nah, I haven't been notified yet buuutt I think I got something. IDK.

I got accepted and visited the campus and sat in on a class. It's seriously great. Stephen Westfall is smart, and so are the students.

SWEET! Congrats. Are you accepting? I think cost of living in New Brunswick is about $800 for rent, plus $200 for living expenses, plus $50 for utilities, so about $1050 a month. But this is just a basic minimum, like dirt poor living...lol...add other expenses like travel, art supplies, etc. and it can reach $1500 a month. I think a 24k stipend is very generous. I got a 15k stipend offer from UofW-Madison plus full tuition remission. I'm very jealous of the offer you got from Rutgers. I wish I had gotten it!

When I spoke to Anine on Monday she said she tries to get them out as soon as possible. Next week is spring break so if not this week then in a couple of weeks. I'm not sure though. Hope you get good news. I'm not sure if I'm going to accept their offer because the financial aid.

Oh yeah, and how did you find out about the aid they are offering you? I didn't receive anything in the mail yet... Anywho, I'm visiting Rutgers tomorrow so I guess I'll ask about it in person!

Three of them offered by Rutgers? Wow that's generous. I have been thinking that Rutgers would be expensive and not off aid. I guess I was wrong and/or too pleased about another offer to think about it further. I got a full ride at UofW-Madison. I wonder if I can tell Rutgers about this other offer to entice them. Lol. Just kidding. That would be stupid. What did you include in your letter?

Thanks! How does one typically get a teaching position while a grad. student? These positions are usually competitive positions, right? So hopefully you get one year of teaching or if you are lucky two years or three years?

So guys, Now that some of us have received offers from colleges, it has become calculation time. One piece of advice I have gotten about choosing a program is to choose the one that gives me the best outcome after graduation.... But I don't know how to determine this. If I want to get a teaching position then I suppose the biggest, most reputable college would suffice. Am I right about this? Then again if I want to just be a great artist, then I would choose the university with the best/most inspiring faculty. After all, we are choosing our mentors when we choose our place of study. Any thoughts? PS - Sorry if this is the wrong thread to post in. PPS - If youre still waiting for responses, hang in there. I'm still waiting for 3!

I got a letter in the mail. But I'm in Wisconsin visiting UofW so I didn't read everything they sent me. I checked online to confirm. Yes! I'm soo satisfied.

I just got into Rutgers! Yeeesss! However, I doubt they will offer me a scholarship as generous as UofW-Madison. Decisions, decisions...

Yeah, I have not submitted that application for the TA and PA positions. I was thinking about it, but I am not sure I want to do it if they are offering me a scholarship. Is the scholarship contingent upon a TA or PA position? I'm confused now. Why would you say its your favorite program, if I may ask? And have you visited the campus?

I am going to visit next week and I feel like I will most likely go to Madison. That is, if I like Madison. I am afraid I won't since I live in Brooklyn now... then again it would be nice to get out of the stinky city.

Yay. I got into University of Wisconsin! I am waiting to hear from 5 others but I'm thinking I might accept UofW because they offered me a full ride. Any future classmates out there?
