  1. To prove that I've spent way to much time on this site, I thought you'd all appreciate that thegradcafe set a new record in terms of users online right after the WWS emails came out.
  2. Congrats, Younglions. Quite the feat!
  3. Waitlisted - email 2 minutes ago Edit: With a typo in the email subject line no less: "Princeton University Gradaute Admission Decision"
  4. I inquired and finalists (presumably those moving on to the interview stage in DC) will hear mid-April.
  5. Agreed - this 'wait and see' period is crawling by! Thanks for sharing the info on SIS. I had an issue with my transcript, so I'm hoping it doesn't push back my letter.
  6. Did you call and inquire?
  7. We all know that WWS funds their students quite generously, but I'm wondering if anybody has an idea what the average package looks like. I remember reading something on the website that mentioned that 90% of the students get significant funding. I'll admit that I've had visions of being part of that 10%! Then, I realize how audacious it was to assume that I got in! Perhaps its part of the that warped application mentality that swings from nightmares to fantasies!
  8. Re GWU -- No hard copy letter yet, but an email indicating good news. Exact $ value isn't concrete yet. I saw one other person on here mention they got a similar letter. I'm starting to think that there is no rhyme or reason to when one hears back from schools. The information on this forum has been invaluable over the last few months, but I also think that it has made me over-analyze who is hearing from what school when!
  9. Congrats, slothrop99. Your AU financial aid package is quite impressive. You should do well this round! Any theories on why the AU letters are trickling in? I live in DC and am surprised I haven't heard yet. Are they just taking their time or is this bad news?
  10. GPA: 3.67 from a LAC in the Midwest V: 630 Q: 730 W: 4.5 WE: 2 years on Capitol Hill and the last 3 with a international development consulting firm
  11. Top choice: WWS, followed by SAIS That said, I think I would have difficulty justifying SAIS without funding (which I hear is very difficult to obtain)...so at this point I think its Pickering Fellowship or bust for SAIS! Speaking of which, anybody else apply to the Pickering Graduate Fellowship? If so, any idea when we will hear?
  12. True - but uninformed speculation would further encourage my incessant email-checking habit...oh wait, I'm still obsessively checking 'just in case'!
  13. Based on the posting on the WWS website, we will be notified "on or around Friday, March 13th, 2009" by email
