I'm in a similar situation, only I need 4 half credits to graduate and I'm taking 5. Just messed up a midterm so I might drop it. It's hard to care about courses with an admit from a dream program...

Hi Stephanie, The YorkU MSW rejections that were sent out late January were from the office of admissions. They were going through each application making sure they met the minimum requirements before sending them off to the Faculty of Social Work. There's still a long wait left. I know someone who found out she was on the wait list in late March/early April, but it wasn't confirmed until May.

So, I can't help it, but every time I hear a friend say they got an interview or an acceptance, or something good happens for them in the graduate school application process, I go red inside! I'd usually be really happy for them, and I love all my friends and I want them to succeed, but somehow I can't find any part of me that is charitable to actually feel happy for them. They're not even applying to the same schools/programs as me! How do we deal?

Hey MPHeh?, I called University of Sask to ask them that and they said that they do it all by hand, so it takes awhile. You can call their application admin office to find out if they have received it and not yet updated it. It's the same with me though. I've sent my transcripts and one of my references submitted, but they're not showing up yet. It is slightly frustrating...

I'm studying at UofT and I'm applying to MPHs at SFU, University of Saskatchewan and York University (MA). I'm also applying to Social Work and Public Policy. I've just submitted my payments- I'm wondering for anyone who has applied to SFU, how long does it take the faculty to send you the referee forms after you have submitted the payment? Thanks in advance!

I had an application due two days ago and another one due tomorrow. I contacted one of my references on Monday to remind him and he said it would be done by the afternoon: not done.... not done two days later... remains undone! I've emailed him twice today to remind him that there's another due tomorrow, but I haven't heard back from him. I'm also slightly worried that there was a problem uploading. I get that universities understand when it comes to references, but this is getting scary! He has 25 hours to upload this document...

This is something I'm freaking out about too! I'm checking my reference letter status more than my email! One of my applications is due on in a couple of days and one of my references is so busy he kind of took it out on me when I reminded him about it. I've called they schools and they said that they don't mind if its late, there is some leeway- but it is "ideal" if it's in on time. Good luck everyone!
