Kimberly, what will you be studying in Austria? Congratulations That's really awesome.

Hi Germany ETA applicants. I received a response from Theresa. She said we will hear of our status early next week. Here's to hoping we hear something on Monday!

I am actually wondering which scholarship is the better deal... the Germany ETA Fulbright or the USTA in Austria. It's hard to tell...the German one only provides you with 800 dollars a month, but you are supported for 2 months longer than you are with the Austrian Fulbright. The German one pays for your flight, the Austrian one doesn't. In addition the Austrian one costs about 140 Euros or so in fees (administrational fees as well as a fee for orientation). But the Austrian Fulbright provides you with 1050 Euros for 8 months and better insurance....

I'm so overwhelmed with studying for master's exams and waiting to hear from Fulbright that I actually didn't get the joke about the "ETA" in Canada for a full 60 seconds...lol.

When did Germany ETAs hear last year?
-
Should we expect a letter in the mail or an e-mail? Last year they got letters in the mail...
-
Belafish-I did and so far I've heard nothing from them, haha.
-
Funny I was just about to post that. At least we know they are sending e-mails out and notifying people, slowly but surely
-
I really have a feeling some notifications are going to go out tonight. Isn't Thursday kind of the typical day for that?
-
I'm absolutely dying. I just wish I knew if Germany ETA were going to be notified today or in like 2 weeks...if it's the latter, at least I wouldn't refresh my inbox every 5 seconds!

I'm preparing for the worst...
-
Do rejections go out at the same time??
-
Think maybe she's just saying that so people stop asking?
-
Come on Fulbright...Molly wants to know if she's going to Deutschland or not!
-
How many ETA Germany finalists were there and what percentage do they actually take?
-
I doubt we'll receive word today ;( Maybe next week??? Argh....

Hello Fellow Germany ETA applications. I e-mailed Ms. Doble, who conveniently is "on leave." She left the e-mail address of another contact, whom I contacted. My question "When will we hear about the Germany ETA?" Her answer.... "Relatively soon." What does that mean??? Argh!!!
-
Have any Germany ETAs heard anything? And could someone put up another link to the spreadsheet? I'm getting so anxious... Terribly annoying!
-
Yeah it's not over yet. Don't lose hope

Hello All, To those that applied for an ETA in Germany-I assume you've all sent in your application already? What did your cover letters and resumes look like? The resume was the toughest part for me. I didn't know what to put in and what to leave out, because German resumes often include things like which kindergarten one went to, which I feel is a bit much... But anyway, good luck to all!!! Hope we will here something soon! When did ETA Germany applicants receive word last year?
-
No, not at all because I have summer plans there anyway and will move there even if I don't get the Fulbright. (believe me, I'm not cocky and I definitely know that the Germany ETA isn't a sure thing!) Thanks for the help. Actually the ticket I was looking at is through STA travel. Thanks!

Hello All-I, like many here, am applying for an ETA in Germany. However, this question is applicable to all that will receive flight benefits, so please forgive me for positing my question here. How do they pay for our plane tickets? Do they reimburse us after we've bought the tickets, do they give us a stipend, etc? I found a one way ticket to Germany for June that I would like to buy, but I don't want to get it if it will end up being a problem. Could anyone shed some light on this? I e-mailed Ms. Doble this evening just in case but was curious if anyone knew. Best, Molly Rowland

Thanks for the heads up

So will they be sending us a packet in the mail with this information or something? I would assume so because I'm sure all of the other potential ETAs are confused as well.
