Anyone recommended for an ETA in Germany who knows what the next step is? I thought we had to translate our application into German or something? I'm confused....If anyone could shed some light on this I'd greatly appreciate it!

I got the same e-mail 2x haha. And it scared me to. Germany ETA Recommended As for filling out that extra app....I think they will contact us soon about that. If not, www.fulbright.de has that info.

No e-mail on my end either. Sorry you didnt get it. Where did you apply to and what was it for? Maybe we can help you find other options. Im sure you'll end up doing something awesome

I have a feeling that unis with a smaller pool of applicants are more likely to let their students know than those with 20 + applicants.

Well I just got an e-mail back from my advisor. I made it to the final round for the German ETA! So excited Funny though, I thought a weight would've been lifted. Now I'm already thinking about having wait until March!!! Good luck to everyone! PS-I wonder if we'll actually get the official e-mails today?

Did they already send e-mails? I applied for ETA Germany as well. Please let me know, b/c I'm freaking out over here. Did you hear from your advisor or Fulbright?

Is there a real difference between the Fulbright French teaching assistantship and the one offered by the french government? isn't the pay the same or at least comparable?

If I don't get it I will start looking into other options. I guess I should share my grad school story with everyone. After graduating from undergrad with a degree in German in spring of 2010, I was sure I wanted to go to Germany in the fall and go to grad school there. Unfortunately, I did not receive a full-year scholarship from DAAD. When I got the rejection letter, I was more than crushed. However, around the same time I received an acceptance letter from a school in Ohio-I received a full scholarship, and the first year of the program was in Austria! Everything works out for the best

Any idea what time we should expect to hear from them tomorrow? Of course I have 2 classes tomorrow and they'll probably send it while I'm in class....

But who knows if they'll actually notify us tomorrow....

Anyone who is applying for the German ETA know of any statistics? I know that they have 140 spots, and that there are approx. 350 or so applicants for these positions. But how many are actually recommended for the second round?
