When I went to visit a school, I asked the professor what makes for a successful student in their program?
I also inquired about placement for internships, some schools only place you citywide but other programs may offer to place you nationwide. Finally, if you are interested in anything specific- is there room for research about it with a professor or thesis option? I'm particularly interested in dysphagia, voice disorders, and FEES- the school I'm interested in told me I could be placed with a specific professor who specializes in those areas for an independent study.
Hope this helps!
I totally understand how you feel, the stress is killing me. I just want to get in somewhere and then worry about my top choice, even though I'll still worry about my top choice! lol
As far as I know not one person I know has heard from NYU and I haven't seen any posts about it either. Patiently waiting- not so much anymore, especially since NYU was the first app due Jan 6th...
I submitted mine Jan 25th, I'm so nervous it is my top choice, I applied to the MEDSLP Program!! I went and visited the school in early January and loved it. By the way, did you get an email from the about a survey of your application process experience?? I did and my stomach dropped only to open it up and find out it was a survey!!!
I've been thinking the same is exact way! The "no news is good news" as of now lol. I did speak to LIU and they received over 400 applicants this year, I definately think applicant numbers went up from last year and that alone is scary!
Hey guys! Has anyone heard from the following schools yet? - University of Washington,New York Medical College, Vanderbilt, NYU, LIU, BU,CUNY Hunter, or CUNY Brooklyn. I cannot stand the wait anymore!
