I'm going to see about the Austria program but I do not feel as confident. My application was sort of rushed.
-
You probably got it. They send out the emails en masse.
-
I feel your pain Molly, I just read my rejection at work. My heart dropped.
-
Just got the ETA response... didn't get it. Good luck to the rest.
-
Yea, something tells me that its not going to be today. "Early next week" can be anything from today to Wednesday.
-
Well, so far I have had three dreams about getting the reply: two that I got it and one that I didn't... this is playing psychological games with me.
-
This is awful, my anxiety level is through the roof. I wish i could find out tonight because I don't know if Ill survive the weekend.
-
I'm very curious to know how the German ETA found out. I expect email but should I also expect notification by mail when I get home? The dates of notification seem to be consistent through the years. I'm guessing that they are sending individual emails.
-
Your right actually, sorry.
-
3/22. Its all on the Spreadsheet.
-
Yea, I'm also struggling with the possibility of the next month or so being the most depressing month of my life (up until now at least); this is miserable, competition is awful, can't we all just love and share?
-
We are getting emails this year. Well, we are on the verge of passing last years notification date for Germany ETA. Depressing.
-
Im wary of taking anything as a sign.

We had an insider here whose adviser told him the total number of german recommended.
-
It also comes down to how many people were recommended. Fulbright says anywhere between 1.5 to 2x, we had the full 280 (damn it!) so perhaps there are more people to consider and thereby shift through.
-
ETAs might be more difficult since they have to deal with educational bureaucracies of individual countries, especially with the more rigid and at the same time fragmented system that exists in Germany. Also, the second stage of the acceptance for Germany is very very late (less than a month ago was the due date)
-
I'm thinking that the decisions for Germany may be all but finished and that from here on comes the matter of bureaucracy: sending out notifications through the various ranks that will ultimately lead to us.
-
I can't specify when, but I assume some time this week the first of us will learn whether we have either lost or gained.
-
Its especially difficult when you have to make life plans around it. I don't want to speak about it, but every time someone asks, "What are your plans for the next year or so?" I have to mention it...
-
You can travel as you wish, but I doubt that your flight will be reimbursed...
-
Now I am returning to that stomach turning feeling I had in early January when I was waiting for part 1 acceptance. My heart feels like it is slowly dropping, the tightening is returning... ah how I missed this horrible feeling...
-
So far, from what I have heard, they have taken a total of 280 and will have to trim that down to half that number (140). Which means, everyone starts with a generic 50% probability (then this gets adjusted by varying factors based on individual traits).

Yea, I had considered applying for a number of programs to take me to the Occupied Territories, but they are difficult to get, poorly funded and few and far between. I'm considering Birthright Unplugged (the counter-Birthright program) but you kind of have to put up pay for yourself for that. Still, though, best of luck. The Mid-East is definitely more exotic than where I applied, Germany.

Man, Jordan! Do you have any fears what with what is going on in Syria? Any chance of things erupting in Jordan as well?

If Santorum became president I would be not able to explain anything, I would be too exhausted from continuous vomiting and a near constant feeling of faintness.
