Think it's time for me to stop coming on the Sociology board. I've been rejected officially from 2 of my 4 and the other 2 have already reached out to acceptances and waitlists (Rutgers and BU). So I just need to focus my energy on Women/Gender Studies. But I'll keep holding some hope for Rutgers since I interviewed and BU since we haven't seen any acceptances on the board.

My life.... This is my 2nd time applying. Previously rejected from all 5 programs.This year I've already been rejected from 3 (possibly 5) of my schools... it's hard on the spirit. Keep telling myself "it just takes one".

I was invited to a visit weekend... Great opportunity to meet with faculty and current students. As well as get a feel for the culture of the campus and the city you may live it. Don't sweat it, it's one step closer right? Good luck!

Univ of Maryland College Park Automated email saying to check status on the website. But the link wouldn't work and neither would logging on the normal way. So I don't know what it says. Though I'm positive it's a rejection based on my previous conversation with the DGS. Anyone get good news from UMD?

Georgia State rejection ... Told to check website for decision

I've applied to Maryland twice (rejected twice). Last year I submitted in like November or December but didn't get my official rejection letter until the following September when I'd begun reapplying. I'm not sure what their deal is. This go around I was rejected via personal message from my POI but still no letter or anything from admissions.

Convinced that the 4 BU waitlist posts are someone's idea of a cruel joke. Since no one has stepped forward to claim any of them and considering (according to the results page) that BU never waitlists, I'm convinced there's someone out there pointing and laughing at us!

Yea that's the sad part. It's a different kind of anxiety... And this one lasts for months!!!! It's annoying this week was a quiet week for WS/WGS/WGSS programs .. UGH!!!!!

Did you explain that in your personal statement? For my masters personal statement I explained some grad slips were due to a chronic illness I battled all through college. I don't know if it mattered to them but I did end up getting into programs. PS. WELCOME to our world... anxiety, insanity and constantly waiting.

According to the results page. BU doesn't send official rejections until March So even if these 4 waitlists are all we'll hear about BU's admissions, people still won't be officially rejected until next month. But I'm still holding on to the possibility of acceptances coming to the board .

I think it's like they offer a spot to 7 and 3 say yes. Or to 10 and 7 say yes.

Another Boston University waitlist posted in results... but no acceptances yet. I'm keeping the faith.

UGH!! Makes me nervous too!!! I had a feeling they'd be reaching out this week. But I haven't heard anything yet. Who can claim the waitlist and how were you notified?

According to previous results, today is Boston Univ's roll out day.. Last year the 20th was a Monday so I'm hoping we hear something soon.

I have to get into a program!!! I'm slowly hating my job more and more everday... This is not what I'm supposed to be doing!
