  1. I will be there! have you heard about places to stay for the weekend.
  2. has any one heard anything about funding?
  3. has any one heard from American about funding yet?
  4. I applied for the DC track as well.
  5. I left law school because I knew it would get me no where. clearly the same place its gotten you since you sit around on posts to screw with people. Also, the reason I went to that school in the first place was because of a more than decent scholarship and a mis understanding of the job market. Ive talked to Dave Eber, Howard Hoegge and other deans from these programs. They've made it clear, if you failed out of law school we do not want you. They wanted me to show a real desire to change, and most importantly, they wanted to see I didn't screw up. One of my professors from Law school wrote me and LOR. Do you realize that people who were editors of their schools law reviews can't find work at some schools? The market I was in was way to hostile to any shot of a career. Thats why I left. I have some advice, why don't you kill yourself? Stop assuming you know my life story.
  6. Thanks to fishpoo for telling me that. I actually just got accepted into CMU's DC-track today. Its my first choice so unless Chicago throws me a lot of money I will be attending. I appreciate the advice. to the prick who said that because I went to a third tier law school I have no shot at going to a decent grad program. Im going to a decent grad program. Thanks so much.
  7. Just got into CMU Heinz as well. 11k a semester. I have to go to the math camp, but who gives a shit. WOOOOOO
  8. a friend of mine is doing it and its working out well for her. I don't know your stats, but its awesome they offered you that. they only accept about 30 people. I've applied but I'm not counting on it. I'm hoping i can break into their regular two year program. the way I see it, its an extra year to start making money.
  9. 1. Batten / Harris 2. Harris / Batten 3. Heinz 4. GW 5. American 6. GMU
  10. thanks so much for that patientpatient. thats exactly what i figured.
  11. From our email after we applied- received on january 5th. "Hello! Happy New Year! On behalf of the Harris School I want to thank you for your recent application to our masters program. As you might imagine we have received a large number of applications and corresponding materials (this is turning out to be our largest application pool to date) and it will take a few days to get everything sorted and matched up ( for the staff the process is still mostly manual). We are updating statuses as quickly as we can and expect this process to take another 10 business days. We will contact you via email if anything is missing after everything has been sorted through. Feel free to email or call us if you have any questions. The staff is working on the applications but we will get back to you as quickly as we can. Thank you for your patience! Maggie DeCarlo" The only reason, again, I am being relaxed, because I have heard from other people at the University of Chicago that they tell you instantly if something is missing. I could be wrong, but I would like to think the admin people at Chicago aren't lying to us to keep us from calling.
  12. Thanks JAubrey to shedding light on this topic. I think past admissions, many of us on this forum are even more interested in jobs. the help has been fantastic! onward to march!
  13. I got into American super early. I got in on the Third of January. I don't know if that means I'm an awesome candidate or not. Im waiting to hear back from GWU Trach, Heinz College, Harris School, Batten school at UVA and GMU SPP.
