Hi, This may be pretty early in the season. Anybody got admitted into PSU (hershey campus) and considering this school for PhD? What are your thoughts? Lets start a discussion. TJ

Not to disappoint. I called them a week ago again (2nd time) and asked if he can check my application status. He asked me if I received any email so far from him. If I haven't then he said I will get the decision by the end of this month. But, almost all the interview invites have already been extended. [funny thing, he didnot ask me my name or check my application when he said this again for 2nd time] so, Good luck!

Looks like 2 people already got into Cornell - Biomed Eng and they have notified this by phone.

Contact graduate admissions in the department you applied to and ask if you were indeed accepted.

Who knows... as of now Hershey is my favorite choice

I think email would be good. Refer to the phone conversation and the news he shares with you.

Yes. It won't hurt your chances for sure. Say reasons like it is the best fit for what you want (research and program) and you have other offers (you are not desperate but genuinely interested)

Good luck on that! I'm pretty sure someone may decline and you will get a chance. I don't know if he would give me info on my application.

Mount Sinai has still 2 rounds of interviews. I was assured that this is still early in the season and they may send out invites next week for the next round. - There is still hope for Sinai .

What did he say? Are they playing with us ?

Im sorry to bear the bad news. Call him if you can to confirm again - dont take my word. Take break and re apply and diversify your application. I have a feeling i will get a reject from Mt. Sinai as well.

Just called Einstein. All if the invites have already been extended. The decisions will be mailed out by the end if the month. So I suppose Einstein is a reject then. :|

Agreed. I thought mid march to the end of march. IMHO, It will also help those who are on waitlist for those universities you got admitted to. Choosing between Clemson and PSU was hard enough. I assure you, the more the choices you have the more confused you would be (assuming everything equal)... but i think deep down we know what we want to choose and but at the same time, it evolves from jan-april over time.

I contacted Vtech. They said they are making decisions and they expect to contact us by end of March or early april :| ... Rutgers has the same reputation.. We need to initiate study and sample graduate students for their blood and do all the stress marker profile. I'm positive that the stress levels will be very high till april.

Okay great. Thanks for the info. I got a reply from them saying they are in the process of setting up interviews and the decisions have not been made yet.

Anybody contacted Mt. Sinai? I have tried and yielded no response (email & call).
