    Just found out a colleague from my cohort class (30 ppl) left the program, 5 people have left the program since December =.= wtf?

      We have a cohort of about 3-4 students per year... and we had one drop this year. Nobody even knew; she just left. It is so weird.

      What I heard was that the student who just left recently, her PI told her she doesn't want to sponsor her as a doctoral student anymore. I was surprised because the student was only into the program for 2 semesters and she was being supported by the department and not her PI.
