I got one rejection from the Molecular Genetics department at Stony Brook SUNY and one wait list from the Genetics department of Stony Brook.... Soooo not exactly a productive inbox. Just more waiting.
Just heard back from Stony Brook Department of Genetics... I am deffinitly still interested and will be emailing them to say so ( they basically say that I'm wait listed and let then know if I dont want to be wait listed anymore) but is there anything else I can do???? What does it really mean?
I know, it's hard to know if its a good sign or any sign at all when rejections go out and I don't find one in my mail box. Does this mean we've made it? Are only acceptances to come? Or did I just avoid this rejection to fall into another one later?
Oh well, nothing else I can do about it now either way...
I will get accepted.
Every time I feel the crazy fear/nervousness come over me I start repeating that to myself
" I will get accepted, I will get accepted, I will get accepted- and SOON!"
I think it's starting to work, at least I am feeling better and more productive.
I lIke this mantra. I will get accepted, I will get accepted.
I might start repeating it before going to sleep so confidence bleeds into my subconscious before my interview next week
I definitely love the assumption that just because I'm applying I will A) get in and must be brilliant at everything.
But my #1 favorite so far was " biological research, why would you do that? Is there even money in that anymore?"
That was from my doctor at my last check up
Hi I have an interview for Temple Fels Institute in Philly in two weeks, but I'm getting really curious about Stoney Brook. I already got turned down for UofC , OHSU, and Watson School at Cold Spring Harbor and wanted to know my chances with Stoney brook before the interview.
Has anybody heard from Stoney Brook in Molecular Bio yet???
