Thanks! I'll ask her! Hey you also have to take a prerequisite at Duke right? If you accept admission there do you plan to take it On the first term or before? Do you know which option will be cheaper? My prerequisite is microeconomics

Finally got my official admission letter from Duke! Though I knew I was admitted two weeks ago, scholarship award is still pending. Today I have a conference with the director of admissions of Yale F&ES, if someone would like me to ask anything for you let me know!

@gaozhongzian congrats! Duke has an admission event on March 30-31. Did you receive the environmental management acceptance yesterday? @MGrubs nothing for me yet.... What about you? It seems they are notifying like two persons per day....

@ zach green, I'm with you, even though I was admitted to SNRE I think their rejection note was quite mean for what I read in RS.

@bsgrok, thanks for the info! Hopefully Duke likes my GPA and GRE scores! I feel the same way, I wish I could just go to program I want without thinking about money, oh well let's hope FES helps us enough to be able to go! The first year is the hardest, once you are there is so much easier to get financial aid wih fellowships and other sources. Best luck to all!

Thank you so much! I doubt I'll get any fin aid, they "have very limited sources" for us internationals. But they do have this amazing graduate assistance-ships called GSI that gives you full tuition wave and monthly payments, you can only get them after the 1st term though. Just in case, for those considering SNRE.

@bsgrok: As an International student I´ve been told that they focus more on our Quantitive GRE and less on the Verbal. Since they have our TOEFL or IELTS to evaluate our english skills too. But I agree with all on this, the GRE is not that important, and the weight of other parts of the application depends mostly on the school. For example, I know MIT puts a lot of weigh on the recommendation letters. @LHL, Are you certain that Duke looks more the GRE and GPA for the financial aid offer? I´m waiting for their offer to start breathing normally again... :s and I´m very scared since I´m international and don´t know how good the financial packages are for us, compare to american students. Are you international?

Hi everyone! I won't be attending any open houses since I'm outside the US and my tourist visa is expired so I couldn't even go anyway... @LHL, On Yale's MEM I choose the sustainable urban and industrial systems specialization, though I really like Energy and the Environment, which is the one I choose at Duke. My focus will be on sustainable industry development, emphasizing on Energy industries. My top choice is Yale, so hopefully I will hear good news, though like I said before I don't have the luxury to choose the program I like the most, I'll go the one that gives me more financial aid. Being an international student, funding is very limited and my family can't support me at all... This week there is a talk of Yale F&ES in my country, so I will ask more about the % of admitted students with very minimum or lack of work experience, and will let you all know what they say, though is only 11 days until we know the actual decision! To all of you admitted to SNRE... I've been trying to find financial aid for international students, but it seems to be almost impossible, I really their program, but I can't believe how expensive it is, even more than Yale... Anyone has info about this? Btw, anyone here applied to MIT Master of City Planning with Environmental Policy and Planning specialization?

Hey MGrubs, Thanks! I talked today with the director of admissions, and he was super nice and told me I was 100% in, so I shouldn't worry, and that the delay was because he was waiting for the schorlaships committe to give him the ammount that we will be awarded, so I guess that must be your case as well! @bsgrok, I'm in the same situation, just trying to be hopeful, but I applied to the MEM. I did contact them once, and they said that meaningful research experience, would be taken in to account if you didn't have much professional experience. So hopefully they think that way with our applications.

Hi everyone! Nice to meet you all! I´m an international student. One year of research experience at MIT and currently working on a green roof company. GRE V500 Q720 AW3.5 I applied to Yale MEM, MIT MCP EPP, Duke MEM and Michigan SNRE masters. Just got an email from Michigan and it was a YES!! Also admitted to Duke , but still waiting for the official letter since I got in the same situation as MGrubs, btw have you hear anything? Does anyone knows if Michigan would give Financial Aid after admission? And what´s the average ammount that Yale would give to Internationals? My biggest issue is the money Best of luck to all of you still waiting!
