  1. So happy for you both!!! See u at SIPA!!!!
  2. Meee!!!!! I really hope you get in Madrileña!
  3. I worked two years for the IADB in Washington DC, came back to my home country, worked one year for a private sector company in their financial area. I volunteered for a women foundation and then went back to work for the IADB but this time at their country office in Colombia. I have been here for a year and a half. While working for the Bank in DC I was mostly on the preparation phase of the projects. Now, while at the Bank's country office, I have been working mostly on the execution, as well as on a closer relationship with the Government of the country. Hope this helps...
  4. I just got my acceptance!!!! I am SOOOOO exciteeeedddd I can't even write!!!! I received an email, opened the letter, it said "I am pleased to offer you admission to the Master of Public Administration in Development Practice..." and I haven't been able to read the rest of the letter, but will let you know of funding if it says so.
  5. Ok. What to do now? Just one acceptance today and one yesterday? Really? Who else applied to the MPA-DP program??? According to the results survey, not even one person has posted being accepted to the MPA-DP. This confirms my theory that they do take a littl longer to release their results.
  6. So should we stay up until 1am? Or wake up in the middle of the night? Or better off, recharge our batteries, and sleep tight until it's morning in whatever part of the world we are in? At the end, it'll still be tomorrow, right? Or...whenever. Seriously, we need to relax. These kind of emotions can be harmful! Bottom line is that if we get accepted, that's amazing. If not, oh well, we did our best and you can either go elsewhere or apply next year with a better gre, better sop, and overall, a stronger application. Good luck to all and sweet dreams.
  7. Don't know if it's worth, but believe me, I get those too!!!! So hang in there!
  8. Check out their blog: We will begin rolling out decisions today; however, don’t be discouraged if you haven’t heard from us yet. It can take a few days from when a decision is made to when it is released to the system. We don’t publish all our decisions in a single day, so if yours doesn’t happen to be one of the first to be finalized, hang in there. Waiting isn’t easy but sometimes “it’s” worth the wait.
  9. alainray: Since you are international just as I am, may I ask what your strengths and weaknesses were- (GPA, GRE, SOP and 2nd Essay, and letters of rec.) in your application?
  10. I just heard that schools do not send emails after 5pm EST. Is this true???? Does anyone know if it is true for SIPA? I´m interested in knowing if the wait is over- at least for today...
  11. I just applied to three schools and have already been rejected from two of them (WWS and GPPI). I think that SIPA making me wait is just a way of saying that I have not been accepted... I am SO FRUSTRATED!
  12. Me neither! Anyone waiting for the MPA-DP decisions? Do they come out today as well???
  13. So according to the blog, regular MPA and MIA decisions will be released today. Does anyone happen to know if this includes applications for the MPA on Development practice (MPA-DP)?
  14. I called GU's GPPI (not the SFS) and they said that all acceptances should be out by the end of next week- including acceptances for the MIDP (in case anyone else applied to it). Also, I called SIPA and they said that decisions will START going out on the 14th- just as their blog said- and that they will be sent in the order in which applications were received- this also includes applications for the MPA-DP... Good luck to all of those who got into Elliot and SIS!
