  1. Hey Eclectic, I totally hear you. I've been stressing out on the SIPA MPA-DP price tag ever since I got the admission letter on March 16th! Pretty bummed now as my search for any sort of financial aid (even student loans) in my home country has proven to be a very very difficult task. I've worked for an international NGO and most scholarship and funding options are only available for government officials - which I am not. Haven't properly celebrated getting in because of the funding issue. I guess I can probably use up all my savings and borrow some money from parents etc but it would be very very tight and limited to first year only. Seriously right, fought so hard to get in only to to face another big wall...bummer...
  2. Hi Beekline, I have about 6 years of work experience. First 3 years as a strategic management consultant for a private consulting firm with projects around South East Asia, last 3 years as strategic planning manager at an international development organization. Graduated from a state uni in Indonesia. Hope this helps.
  3. Hi Setiadi, Salam kenal juga! Selamat juga ya! Yep I got into MPA DP and super excited. Now the big challenge for me is figuring out how to finance it. I am Indonesian but been living abroad for 3 years working for a development organization, so unfortunately there is very limited funding support available for me (i think there are more sources for ministry employees). I am trying to tap into some foundations, but if you have any tips would appreciate if you can share . I'm not required to enroll in the summer English program, perhaps because my work experience (~6 years) has been mostly in English-speaking environment? There isn't any mention of this on my acceptance letter. It's really great to learn that the small program accepted 2 Indonesians! Looking forward to meeting you in NYC.
  4. Hey again Erry, Lucky you! MoFa is a really great place hey! I wonder if you also know of other funding sources for Indonesians? I wouldn't mind some sort of soft loan as well. I'm an Indonesian working for a development organization headquartered in Bangkok. I got into my target schools but now trying to figure out funding as I didn't manage to secure fin. aid from the schools (well, at least SIPA has mentioned it loud and clear - still waiting for aid decision from other schools). Any tips would be much appreciated. And, hope to see you in NYC or DC. We should try and meet up!
  5. Hey Erry, salam kenal! Same deal for me, awesome acceptance from SIPA but no funding whatsoever...tuition fee is pretty steep as well. I'm still waiting to hear on aid decisions from GPPI and Wagner and any sort of aid will definitely play a substantial role in helping me choose! SAIS is very strong in IA, so the 15k definitely sweetens the deal for you no?
  6. Hi mximedc, I guess we will be in the same class!!! WHEEEE! I held my breath when I received the notification letter and was preparing for the worst. SEE YOU SOON IN NYC!!!!
  7. Just got into MPA-DP!!! So excited! No funding though...I will definitely need to look for other funding sources (I'm an international student)
