  1. you aren't the last one !!! there's still me !!!
  2. Thanks ! Good luck to you too PaulaRevere ! PS : Hindi - pretty simple German and Sanskrit similar format I believe... All the best to you !!!!
  3. Yes number 1 is SIPA as of now. Number 2 is CMU because they're the only ones who've given me some funding !!! Although i was thinking, since you're from Germany, you're an international student...so perhaps BU would be good...it's internationally very well reputed. I know it's known well in India...
  4. it's a difficult choice I know.. but I think Washington DC throws a huge weight !
  5. You're right...Seems like it ! Economics seems to be a positive with them !! Well BU and GWU are both awesome ! And at great places !
  6. Good luck PaulaRevere !
  7. Yes and I applied for Urban and Social Policy specializing in Advanced Policy and Economic Analysis...
  8. 20lakhs for them too ! although, im guessing the 2nd year should be a respite.. i think most schools provide some assistance to almost all students... do you think there's a possibility of converting the degree to a phd after the 1st year ?
  9. enkayem, could you please share your profile with us ? and congratulations on such super funding you've received !
  10. Thanks energypolicy23 ! really..such a stress..this wait !
  11. Im looking at HSBC too.. although SBI is good too ! Can we take loans from US? I mean stuff like the loans where they return $25 per month sort of thing ? Applied : MIT TPP, UCB MPP/MS(ERG), Princeton WWS, Harris MPP, Ford MPP, CMU EPP, UMD MEPP, SIPA MPA Accepted: Harris MPP ($0), Ford MPP ($?) Rejected: MIT TPP, UCB MPP/MS(ERG), Princeton WWS
  12. Mine says : We look forward to working with you ! Submission Status: Not Submitted Is yours the same ??
  13. Since everybody is still waiting for SIPA results, including me, it'd be nice if you guys to could help me pick from Heinz and Ford ! And my Submitted Date: 1/5/2012 3:30:00 PM EST
  14. a friend of mine in India heard last week and she has not work-ex..just a three-year bachelor's degree...i wonder what they want...
  15. Yes ! Exactly ! Loans ! All my plans were dished out with the zilch funding on most of my results !
  16. I largely agree with rankings-are-not-the-end-all bit, especially since as an international student I'm looking to come back to work in my country and people here should definitely recognise the name/brand that I attended for 2 years ! Right now I have acceptances from Heinz, Ford, Maxwell and Trachtenberg. I'm contemplating between Heinz and Ford and of the 2 Carnegie is a well-known name in India.. and since I'm looking at a more private sector sort of employment post the degree or perhaps may be something like the world bank.. I feel Heinz may be a better choice. What do you guys think ? Any suggestions ? PS: Fingers crossed for SIPA !
  17. Hey! congrats to all !! Heinz vs Ford?? Help!
  18. I have been following this thread for a bit.. and I haven't heard from SIPA yet either ! Can't wait. It's the last school on my list, apart from SUNYAlbany, although after MAxwell and the others I think I won't be looking at that. Would like suggestions on Heinz (Carnegie Mellon) vs. Ford (UMich) ? Must say pretty disappointed with GPPI and NYU! Oh well ! Applied : UCB MPP, Princeton WWS, Ford MPP, CMU MSPPM, HKS MPP, SIPA MPA, GWU MPP, Maxwell MPA, GPPI MPP, Sanford, SUNY Albany, NYU Accepted: Heinz ($6k/sem), Ford MPP ($?), Maxwell ($?), GWU ($0) Rejected: UCB MPP, Princeton WWS, HKS, GPPI, NYU, Duke
