Yeah, man. I was already scheduled to work that night. I might have been able to get someone to cover my shift, but then I was waylaid by a sneak-attack back injury. Day three in bed. Lots of Netflix and hydrocodone, though. So it hasn't been all bad.
So, on average, how many times a day are you all checking emails/phones/mailboxes in hopes of finding something?
Even though none of the programs I applied to are likely to have made a decision yet, my droid phone is never far away. Every time I get an email, my heart is all a-flutter until I see that it's a Facebook notification, mass email from school, or something from my mom. This waiting part sucks.
Wow, you sound like someone I could be friends with. We have many shared interests (esp. Mark, performance criticism/orality & lit, Paul and empire). Good luck with your applications.
