No, only external awards. however, your university might claw back on your internal funding and only top-up your OGS. i.e. I was getting 19400$, with OGS I get 29400$ as they claw back the 5000$ portion provided by the university. Net gain is 10000$.

Same status today from February 13th. No updates as yet.

Last year my status was updated on May 6th. Results could be out soon. Tomorrow is the first Friday in May as the 6th was last year.

Last year I heard in May that i got it and accepted it for a May start. I got my first payment in September with the second payment.

Feb 13, 2012 In Competition Congratulations! Your complete and approved OGS Application Package for 2012-2013 has been included in the competition. A panel of 3 university professors will be adjudicating OGS applications and we expect that the results will be available early to mid April 2012. Please check back at that time.

Last year I got it, didn't hear until end of April and didn't get the money until September.

My Grad Studies Dept. posted this today: 2011-2012 OGS Competition Results Update The 2011-12 Ontario Graduate Scholarships (OGS) adjudication process is in its final stages. Results will be available to students online in the first week of May, after the OGS Board provides final approval. Students are strongly encouraged to check their online status for results as this is the fastest way. Letters will be sent to students at a later date. Students who applied on paper and do not have a SIN can call the general inquiry line at 1-800-465-3957. New this year, successful students will have an online Confirmation of Acceptance. Successful students must confirm acceptance of their OGS by June 30, 2011 or forfeit their award. Students placed on a reversion list (wait list) will be contacted before December 2, 2011 if they are selected for an award. Students’ ranks on the reversion list will not be provided. Students who are unsuccessful are encouraged to apply again next year. Each competition is unique and results vary from year to year depending on the number of applicants.

You can't accept a CIHR if you have accepted any other major award including OGS, SSHRC, or NSERC. Email CIHR and OGS and ask them what to do then keep the emails.

Depends on the competition within your discipline. i.e. if the scoring is harsh in psychology then people with lower scores will be awarded grants (17/30) but in economics wif the scoring is high, people with high scores may not get the award (19/30).

Last year there were a lot more people who posted successful results on April 14-15th. They came from a number of disciplines. We were told that results were being posted by panel (i.e., there are 12 panels withing the Social Sciences division). Don't give up yet.

Last year the winners found out first and the unsuccessful applicants found out today (April 26th) around 12-1pm. no status change- Date still says April 24
