Tma27 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) Hello all, so I am doing my best not to panic. Today is my deadline for my graduate school applications (and is also a holiday, Martin Luther King Day). I have one letter still outstanding, so I emailed my professor to remind him. He just emailed back to let me know he has gone out of town, and will not be able to submit until tomorrow morning. Is this going to be detrimental to my application? There is not a grace period for reference letters, or so the admissions website says. Thanks in advance. Edited January 15, 2018 by Tma27
rising_star Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 If they say there's no grace period, then it may be detrimental to your application. At this point, it's beyond your control so I'd try not to worry about it.
SnowAngel3535 Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 I basically have same situation and it's my top choice program too. I can't really give any advice but hoping the best for you.
Warelin Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 This really depends on the school. Some schools are more lenient because some parts of policies may have changed. If I were you, I'd contact the department's grad secretary and ask how it may impact your application.
