MassSLP2be Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 This program is highly interested in me, which is wonderful! However I'm not from the area and there's still so much more I'd love to know about it. Can anyone (particularly current students) tell me about what it's like at UNCG? Thanks!
mimithebellydancer Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 I went there for my undergrad. As far as activities Greensboro is boring. I tend to call it Greensboring. UNCG as a school however is great! I loved going to UNCG. And it's not far from Charlotte (1.5 hours) or Raleigh ( almost 1.5 hours) which are full of activities of you want to go i the weekend. I think it's the perfect place to go as a grad student to focus. Of course it depends on your personality, you may finds tons of stuff. It was boring for me though. But it's a good school. Let me know if you have further questions!
soontobeslp2018 Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 I’m currently here for undergrad. The Graduate program is very good from what I’ve heard. I agree with the person above that Greensboro is fairly boring. Also the building you’ll be taking classes in is fairly run down and small. The professors are fantastic though. I’m still waiting to hear back from them (hoping to be waitlisted rather than denied) if I get in I’d definitely go.
