Mommy4 Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 I know that acceptance letters have been sent out but has anyone currently or in the past received a waitlist letter or even a nonaccepted letter? If so, how long did it take to receive it and was it email or snail mail? Fingers are still crossed for a waitlist notification. Has anyone reapplied and accepted the second time around? Honestly, this is the only program I have applied to. Life does not allow me to attend a traditional on-campus program and I'm not close to other online programs that require occasional campus visits. I know I should apply to more, however, it's not in the cards. It was hard enough trying to complete my Post-Bach program with a full-time job, family, and house to tend to. I know there's light at the end of the tunnel, it just seems that the tunnel keeps getting longer, rather than shorter... ?
sauntare Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 There are a few distance programs where you do not need to be there during the summer or if you do just a few weeks. CSun is one and Northern Colorado you only have to go for a few weeks. Northern Colorado only admits every 2 years, so next year and CSun does it in the spring every year. I can only do online as well but could travel during the summer if I had to.

CSUN wants 30 credit hours, which I do have, in SLP classes but needs course descriptions and silibi if classes were not taken at CSUN. Northern Colorado states that you currently have to be a SLPA or in a teaching environment, which I have my degree in, just not my job. Thank you again for the suggestions! ☺
bibliophile222 Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 If you don't have your syllabi any more you should be able to contact your school and request them. Even if they don't have the exact syllabus, they can provide the most recent one for that course. I was missing a couple syllabi and requested them, no sweat--I called the registrar's office and had them emailed to me. It's at least worth checking out.

I do have most of my syllabi, but there are others things that I'm not liking about the program. I'm trying to stay more east than the West Coast.
Mommy4 Posted August 23, 2018 Author Posted August 23, 2018 Yes. I talked to a rep last year and I would have to retake a lot of my classes. Thank you though!
