Hello! I am a Junior student planning to pursue a Ph.D. in USA. UW is really my top 1 dream school. I know it's very hard to get into UW Ph.D. program. So I really wish to know my odds given my background. Thanks in advance!

Undergrad: Zhejiang University, China (top 2 in computer science)

Major: Honors college of Computer Science

GPA: Overall 3.87/4.0, major GPA 3.95/4.0, ranking top 5%

TOEFL: 107 (R24 L27 S26 W30)

Letters of Rec: I will have a rec letter from a prof at Zhejiang University (my mentor, strongly rec), a prof at UC Davis (visualization&HCI research), and a prof at Cornell (HCI research, UW Ph.D. alumni)

GRE: Plan to take soon, expect result: V158 Q170 AW4

Research Experience:

1. HCI research experiences at Zhejiang University with HKUST for 1 year, plan to submit a paper to MobileHCI'19, but the result will not come out before 15th Dec.

2. HCI&Visualization summer research at UC Davis VIDI Lab for 3 months, will submit a paper to PacificVis'19 (visualization conference), second author.

3. HCI&Accessibility research at Cornell for 3 months. Have published a demo paper on ASSETS'18 (accessibility top conference), and will submit a paper to CHI'19

Work Experiences:

1. Teaching Assistant for a distinguished professor from UT-Austin, member of the USA National Academy of Engineering

2. Internship at Alibaba group, designed some intelligent interactive system for data analysis.

Awards:

First class scholarship every year in college, and many other less important awards.

To summarize, I think my academic record is not very bad, my English has met their request, and I will have (if I am very lucky) 2-4 papers published on top & 1st tier conferences. I also have TA experience for a famous professor and a rec letter from a professor who is UW alumni. Given my background, do I stand a chance to be admitted to their CSE Ph.D. program? I really like the school because they have several professors who are doing research I am really interested in and my previous work matches theirs. I also got 3 Email feedback from UW professors. They all said that they are recruiting, and they appreciate my experiences. They also highly encourage me to apply for their Ph.D. program, but they have a committee to review all applications so that's the reason I come here for help. I cannot simply ask professors about my odds. Thanks for your comment!
