dSLP Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I am waiting for final grades for this semester (FALL 2018) to post because I had to retake one of my CSD classes and need the better grade to post to apply to grad school. Official grades will not be available until the 20th of this month. I can only order my official transcript to be sent that day, December 20th, then have to wait 7-10 days for CSDCAS to get the transcript. Which means I am looking at around the first week of January for CSDCAS to start verifying my transcripts. One of my grad school application's deadline is January 15th. I am a wreck, too nervous that I won't be able to submit before the deadline. Am I able to submit my applications without CSDCAS having received my last semester's transcript? or do I have to wait to hit submit until CSDCAS has received my last semester's transcript? I have attended a total of 4 different schools, I requested all my official transcripts to be sent to me and have manually entered all of them myself to CSDCAS, I also requested for them to be sent to CSDCAS and they have received them all minus the one for this semester. Any advice for me? Thank you
bibliophile222 Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 There's a period in January-ish (sorry, can't remember exactly when) where they reopen the transcripts section and you can update your grades with fall courses. You should be able to submit without them receiving your transcript, but it is risky waiting to send it since it could take time to verify. I'm not sure if the extra 10 or so days is worth sending out two transcripts, but if you think it will bring you peace of mind you could submit the current transcript and then resubmit on the 20th.
smileyslp Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I submitted my transcript with in-progress fall coursework listed and that was fine. At first, I attempted to submit my application without one of my transcripts, but my application was sent back to me (which made the process take longer). The universities I applied to just said that an official transcript with the completed courses must be sent before I start grad school. Personally, I wouldn't risk waiting until January to submit because it took them awhile to completely verify mine. I don't believe it will be held against you if your first set of transcripts show in-progress rather than completed, but you could always contact your universities to confirm. Best of luck!
KelsHud Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 You are able to update them now. They sent out an email.

Sorry, but why was your application sent back to you: because you didn't send the transcript at all (and not because you didn't enter the coursework)? I'm guessing you had to send that school's transcript twice - once before submitting your application and again after getting your grade (s)?
