Hi, I got waitlisted at WCU and Moravian College. Has anyone else been waitlisted at any of these two schools and have more information about the waitlist? how many people on it, ranked or not, etc? About how many people have they taken from the waitlist in the last? I have been rejected from two other schools and waitlisted at these two. I am praying that I get in!

Just be yourself, try not to think of it too much. Be ready to brainstorm and come up with solutions in the group interaction - problem-solving part. You will give a 10 min presentation at the end. I think that was the most important part of the entire day. I think all professors/interviewers were very nice overall and made me feel comfortable.

I had the interview this morning and enjoyed it! Now waiting to hear back from them by the end of the month... hoping for good news!

Hi, So I am very scared that the schools that just applied to won't even look at my application package. I just graduated with a 3.47 undergrad GPA (this is the GPA in my school's transcript) but CSDCAS takes into account all the previous schools I attended (years ago with very bad grades) and calculates the GPA differently. Unfortunately, bringing me down to a 2.9 overall GPA for CSDCAS. I am considering emailing the 6 schools that I just sent my application to. Has anyone done something like this before? any suggestions for me on what to say in the email to the graduate school admissions person? I'm not even sure who I will be contacting yet so I will look for this information on the schools' website that I applied to. But I was hoping I could get some advice from people that had their GPA lowered to less than 3.0 due to CSDCAS. Thank you!

Hi FutureAuD03, are you applying for fall 2019? and are you applying for audiology or SLP? I was wondering how you got invited for an interview so fast. I just sent my application to Salus last week for SLP for the fall 2019.

Did you guys submit your applications without the fall grades and then went back in during "academic update" to include the grades for fall? I have not submitted my applications, one due Jan 15th 2018. I need the fall grades because I have 3 req CSD classes I took this semester and one of them is a retake, so I want the new higher GPA for the fall before applying. What should I do?? thank you so much!

I am waiting for final grades for this semester (FALL 2018) to post because I had to retake one of my CSD classes and need the better grade to post to apply to grad school. Official grades will not be available until the 20th of this month. I can only order my official transcript to be sent that day, December 20th, then have to wait 7-10 days for CSDCAS to get the transcript. Which means I am looking at around the first week of January for CSDCAS to start verifying my transcripts. One of my grad school application's deadline is January 15th. I am a wreck, too nervous that I won't be able to submit before the deadline. Am I able to submit my applications without CSDCAS having received my last semester's transcript? or do I have to wait to hit submit until CSDCAS has received my last semester's transcript? I have attended a total of 4 different schools, I requested all my official transcripts to be sent to me and have manually entered all of them myself to CSDCAS, I also requested for them to be sent to CSDCAS and they have received them all minus the one for this semester. Any advice for me? Thank you

Thank you! I am not sure the schools she is applying to but I am in PA, I was referring to the schools that I am applying to around here, which are requesting 2 LOR from CSD faculty and 1 that can come from other professors, personal or work references.

GRE low quant but above average both verbal and writing. Would you retake it? I keep hearing that I should retake it, my quant is very low.. but the other 2 are great. I am not sure what to do?

I am currently retaking a CSD class (my advisor told me to retake it) because supposedly it will help me to bring my GPA up by erasing the first grade and taking the last grade. I hope that is the case because it would be so helpful.

I am also a non-traditional student who is graduating this December with undergrad CSD. My gpa is a little lower than yours but should go up a little after this semester. My low GPA is due to all of the bad grades I received years ago when I was younger, they are bringing my gpa down. My GRE is similar to yours, I did great in verbal and a 4.0 in writing, I have heard mixed feedback but I decided to retake it because I do not want to take a chance with having a low quant score... What I have done is tried to follow as much as possible the advice from professors/advisor. I have attended conferences, done volunteering, did a study abroad semester this past summer, saw my professors during their office hours for extra help, etc. I also went to my school's writing center and career development center to get help with my resume and letter of intent. They will give you ideas what you can do to add to your resume. What I would do if I were you is to email your CSD professors for your online classes with questions, ask if you could come in during their office hours so that they get to know you and can write you a LOR. You need at least 2 from CSD professors for most schools.
