NYMC Interview

I received an email from New York Medical inviting me for an interview and campus visit as a "required part of their admissions process". However, I am an out of state student and it is going to be very difficult for me to visit this campus in-person for various reasons, especially financial. I really like this school, has anyone had experience with arranging an alternative form of interview (phone, etc.)? How should I approach this or the admissions appointee if I contact them? I don't want to sound like I don't want to visit the campus, I just can't financially.

First off, Congrats! Secondly, is this a distance learning program or traditional?

@Toya traditional, but i've heard that they ask applicants to do a writing assignment as part of the interview process. so i'm worried that they wouldn't be able to do a phone or Skype interview

You should explain to them your situation and see what they say. I have heard some schools that do a distance interview will allow you to send them the writing assigment the next day. 

Can i ask when did you send in your application? I know they do rolling admissions but i sent mine this month womp womp ? thats already a disadvantage. Also what are your gre scores and gpa if i may ask?

I have the same issue! It would be crazy expensive to go to the interview. It would make sense if I heard back from other schools in New York and was visiting them all. Let me know if you ask them about a virtual interview!
