I have applied for UCI, UCLA and USC. All for the CS program. I have not heard from any of them while I am seeing people getting acceptance from USC since last week. Even some friends of mine have received fellowships from USC. That kinda freaks me out!

I applied for UCSB for the ECE dept but I mentioned one Professor from the CS dept on my SoP.

And applied for UC Davis CS program too.

Last year I got into UCSB and UCSC but both without funding, let's hope for some better luck this year

Hi -- data science undergrad (2017) here. I didn't even THINK any schools would get back to me because I was scared about not being "pure CS" or "pure stats". And my GRE quant/verbal was not perfect -- 160 and 160 respectively. But I said F it and  I applied to 16 schools,  both stats and CS PhD programs and have heard back from 5. 4 admits and 1 pending post interview (USC). So there's plenty of waiting to be done!

Admitted to UCLA CS PhD a few weeks ago. I mentioned a prof in my SOP and we Skype interviewed this month. Soon after it was a pretty smooth transition with full funding. Also admitted to University of Oregon CS PhD (with interview),  University of Waterloo Masters in Statistics (no interview), and Brown University CS PhD (with interview).

Have hope and patience.

Applied to UC Berkeley Masters in Engineering in EECS. I study Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ivy League top engineering school, have 4 good internships, 4 good recs, and 4 years of relevant research, with 3.8 GPA. GRE is average for admitted students. Really hoping I get this.

I also applied to Stanford MS in EE, Princeton MS CS, MIT PHD EECS, and Cornell Tech MENG ECE (Accepted w/ 20K merit scholarship).
