Computer Science MSc F19 in Canadian grad schools

It seems that grad schools in Canada (except UToronto) have not been very active in Jan. I personally have applied to 4 schools in Canada (Toronto, McGill, Waterloo and BC) and heard nothing back. Well McGill mailed me for 3 additional questions a while ago and the other 3 just have been... dead silent.

I went thru results in 2018 and there should be at least some news by now but I aint getting any from the results page. So I just thought, I might as well start a thread for us to gather any news, info, whatever from Canadian grad schools.

well I'm like super nervous right now cuz I just saw some guy posted his admission from McGill today, he submitted the application on Dec 30, answered 3 additional questions on Jan 14 and got the admission today

I submitted on Jan 1, answered the questions on Jan 17 which means I will probably get a result in a few days... plz, plz it's gotta be accept.

I got accepted to phd track masters today (u of t). It's the only school i applied to in Canada. I didn't have to answer any questions other than the standard u of t application.

I've applied to arounf 7 schools in Canada for Msc (thesis). No response from either so far. The only positive thing is a professor from  UoAlberta asked me about my interests. McGill did send me the list of questions however no result on that front. Canadian colleges are dead and clearly cannot handle the sudden attention they are getting FML

When do you think they will send the admission letters? I have another offer with deadline of accept/reject in two weeks, but I want to wait for UBC and Toronto decisions.

Hello all,

Did anyone receive any interview calls or admission result from Institue of Quantum Computing(IQC) at the University of Waterloo for 2019 fall admissions? I emailed the graduate program coordinator at IQC. I received a reply saying that the faculty are making decisions on an ongoing basis and not sure when they will make the final decisions. This is 3 weeks back.

Could go as late as late march. Try asking the offer if they can push back the deadline. I have heard that they would usually give it to you because if they don't some students take it and then leave anyways to go to a better school.

Emailed POI at Toronto about CS Masters status two months after interview. He told me I did not make it to his shortlist. Basically an informal rejection.

Same thing here. I applied for MSc-Computer Science and MSC-Statistics (1 year) at UofT and both are still "Under Review". I've received no news besides the fact that, sometime around January, the POI field on my online application for CS was locked. After a couple of days it went back to normal (unlocked). Statistics has shown no sign of life.

Still waiting.

Anybody get any updates from UofT?

Both my applications are still Under Review. Being early March, I'm guessing my chances are slim since I didn't even get contacted for interviews up till now. I'm international.

Has anybody received any updates from the University of Western Ontario? Any idea when they will declare the admission results for MS Computer Science Coursework?
