Bringing a guest to grad info sesssion?

One of the schools I was accepted to is hosting an info session for those who were accepted. Is it weird to bring a guest with me? The program said I could but I don't know if anyone else there will. What are your experiences with this?

I would think your in the clear if they said you can. Congrats on your acceptance!

Thank you! I was going to bring my mom lol and didn't know if that would be weird

You definitely wouldn't be the only one bringing someone. Plus, you'll have another person there to help you form an opinion of the program!

When I went to an info session there were a few people that brought their mom.

Don't worry, I had the same question. Info sessions are much less formal than, say, Accepted Student's Day; that being said, my mom wanted to tag along for both! There were definitely other people who were accompanied by a parent/guest, so it wasn't weird at all.

I agree with what everyone has said! You should be fine. I went to an interview today and some applicants brought family members, so you should be all set. Congrats!
