MettaSutta Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 Hi folks! I recently sent in my deposit for an MSW program. My school does have a Social Work Review (kind of like a peer-reviewed journal), though I presume getting on it is a competitive process. Have any current/former MSW candidates gotten published? Is it something that has helped you out career-wise or stood out on your resume? I'd appreciate any perspectives!
Adelaide9216 Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Hello, I am a MSW Candidate. I turned in my thesis a month ago. I have submitted one article based on one half of my results (in peer review right now), and am working on another article based on the second half. Its two different journals. So to answer your question, yes, it's possible to publish, especially if you want to pursue a career in academia.
