Alright everyone it’s the end of the semester which means another post needing reassurance that I shouldn’t change my major!!!

I ended with a 3.6 this semester bringing my overall to a 3.333! So close to a 3.5!!

math GPA: 3.05

Science GPA: 2.8 (this has been the most frustrating thing to bring up)

CSD GPA: 4.0

I am super involved on campus. I’m the Vice President of my sorority, the year before being a different executive position, and I volunteer every week tutoring at an elementary school. I’m a tour guide and hold a leadership position through that. I work on campus. I’m in NSSLHA. And I’m pretty sure that’s it. I just finished fall semester of my junior year (but I most likely will have to do an extra semester just to get my science gpa up). Is there hope for a grad school to look at me??? I need to talk to my advisor to see if I should start studying for the GRE to see if I am going to take it this summer. How long do GRE scores last?? Should I study now to be safe and schedule my test?

Your stats are better than mine and I am in grad school.

ASHA only requires a C or better in physics or chemistry, human based biology, and statistics.

For the GRE, try and score at least a 300...150 V and 150 Q with at least a 4.0 on the AW and you should be fine.  if you come close, that is good as well because I scored 152 V, 141 Q and a 4.0 AW.

Your stats are good. Just work on your personal statement and GRE scores...they last five years.

Your CSD GPA matters way more than any of the others! I don't think you particularly need to bring your science GPA up as long as you've passed the 4 ASHA-required courses (bio, stats, chem/physics, social science). Your CSD GPA is great, and that's the most important thing! Also, some schools will prioritize the las 60 credits or so, so if you're getting better grades now than you were freshman/sophomore year, that's good!

In terms of GREs, the scores last for 5 years I believe, so it doesn't hurt to take it sooner rather than later. It might even be better to take it earlier because then you'll have time to retake it if you don't get the scores you want.
