I noticed a few people posted last week that they had received decisions from ASU. Does ASU send out decisions in waves? Or do they separate instate and out of state? It seems like last year there was a span of a few weeks between when the first and last decisions were sent out. ASU is a top choice for me and I'm eager to hear back!

I have not been accepted nor denied yet! I some saw acceptances and some denials so I'm assuming its in waves based on when you applied?

I would check the portal! They put the status of your application on there as well.

Hey! I was accepted to ASU on Feb 10 and they sent me an email to let me know. I'm an out of state applicant, so my guess is that it's not based on residency. I have no idea if this helps or not, but I wouldn't give up hope! Some people already were rejected according to the results page...so if you weren't rejected that's probably a good sign!

Good luck either way(:

Hey, thanks for your response! Can I ask when you submitted your application? I submitted mine in early November. Good luck to you as well!

Gosh I don’t remember exactly but it was close to the deadline. I probably submitted around Dec. 7th or so.

Hey, one more question for ya! I saw it on another post and it got me thinking: where is your last name in the alphabet? Mine is in the middle.

My last name starts with P, so I'm in the middle. If you haven't gotten a rejection then they haven't sent out all their decisions yet, so I would definitely stay hopeful. Especially since there are only a handful of decisions posted on the results page...I don't know how they do it there, but my guess is that there are still waves of decisions to come (and probably soon!)

Let me know if you hear anything!

@gracegerbing where does your last name fall? My friend was accepted but her last name begins with D. If you also don't mind me asking, what was your GPA, GRE, experiences?

My last name starts with G! I have a 4.0 major GPA and 3.95 overall. My GRE scores were pretty average (Verbal: 153, Quantitative: 154, Writing: 4). I work in 2 research labs at the UofA, completed the Clinical Assistant program at my university, am on the NSSLHA board, and I worked at Camp SAY (a summer camp for young people who stutter).

Do you know when the UofA is sending out decisions?

Yes! My teacher (who is on the admission board) told me the first or second week of March :)

Thank you!! I saw on their website that they will be having admitted student visit days March 20 and 23 so I hope they let us know early enough for us far-away folks to arrange travel...

Hi! I am a current ASU grad student. In undergrad one of my friends was accepted and I didn't hear back for a month or so. I had been waitlisted but they sent it out waaayyyy later than acceptances and rejections. So, if you haven't heard back you're likely on the waitlist. Hope this helps everyone. Good Luck!

Thanks for the info! Do you know how many students they usually accept off the waitlist?

Was yesterday the only day they are sending out decisions for U of A? Does anyone know about Arizona State University?

I'm not sure about U of A, but it looks like ASU sent decisions out last year during this week. Fingers crossed!

I am not sure of exact numbers but the link below tells you about the class profiles and will give you an idea of how many they accept off the waitlist.
