PhilCoffee Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 I wonder the possible impactc of COVID-19 on 2020 application season. There are already hiring freezings. Will the schools admit less grad students or cut the funding for each one admitted? Or both?

This just happened at UVA. It's awful.

It looks abundantly clear that next year (and probably future years) will be significantly more difficult for applicants. The question is how much more difficult. Most schools will probably admit fewer and some might admit no one. And many schools (including mine) this year, as Thylacine have noted, aren't admitting anyone off the waitlist this year.
UndergradDad Posted April 13, 2020 Author Posted April 13, 2020 Glad to see a few schools (Professors) are commenting on Daily Nous thread that their schools are not changing their grad funding this year due to coronavirus. Hope that will be the rule rather than the exception. Marcus_Aurelius, PHILOKEV and HootyHoo 3
