Casorati Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 (edited) It appears that the description of my last poll is misleading and the result may be biased, so I am reposting the last poll. I would like to hear about your opinions towards the above programs. If you were admitted to these programs, which one would you choose? Edited April 28, 2020 by Casorati
bayessays Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 You really should just take the advice from the other thread and not make a life changing decision based on the results of an anonymous internet poll. Unless you are a multi millionaire, going to UNC would be literally insane and shouldn't even be an option. ZNtheory, insert_name_here and Casorati 3
BL250604 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Yup, I agree. You're in some great programs, no need to even consider an unfunded offer, even from a school like UNC. Pick a program you like with research areas you like and you'll be happy. dopamine_machine 1
Casorati Posted April 29, 2020 Author Posted April 29, 2020 Thank you so much for your advice. For anonymity reasons I won't say exactly which school I plan to attend but it is one of McGill, Waterloo and UBC.

StatsG0d Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 In most circumstances I feel like you can probably get funding by your second semester, but with the incoming recession, I certainly would not take the risk.
