Hello guys!

Did anyone apply for Osnabrück?

Hello Katyrena! Well I havent heard from anyone in this group who applied to Osnabruck. Maybe its because of the german language requirement. Did you apply to any other university.

Yes, I applied to Passau, but the first priority is Osnabrück

Hallo everyone, I'm Alif from Indonesia. In accordance with this discussion, I also applied to this Program, specifically to Passau University. By the way, I got some questions that related to the quotas of each University or Studies, Perhaps, somebody knows of it well. Does anybody know how many students that the university usually accept each year? for instance, if the quotas are for 50 people, are these 50 persons from the same country or from all over the world?

Thanks in advance everyone :)

I graduated with a CGPA of 4.0/5.0, I studied history and international studies. I actually did two different internships during my undergraduate studies, one at a shipping company and the other at a local government council. Also, I have many community service, leadership and volunteering experience. One thing about the DAAD scholarship (at the Brandt School) that I noticed is that, no one knows the exact criteria for their selection process. I chose only the Willy Brandt School, I know some of their students, though some of them have graduated now. Former recipients told me, one should do everything that'll give him or her leverage over other applicants, things like learning German and other relevant language before applying, telling them the areas you want to specialise on, writing a short abstract of your research proposal on the DAAD form. Actually, no one knows!  I started working on my application since December 2019, over 20 people reviewed my SOP. In fact, I submitted my application very early, but that's never a guarantee, today i have forgotten about DAAD and I'm working on other applications. One key attitude we'd all have when it comes to scholarship application is that, whenever you're applying for a programme channel all your efforts to ensure you foot a very strong and competitive application, believing they can never reject you, at the same time hurting for other scholarships like you haven't even applied for one.

Here it goes:

I have a BSc. in Public Administration and graduated with a final grade that falls into the upper 20% of my country (sorry, Idk how to convert it). Then I pursued a postgrad degree in Public Policy , from which I graduated with a final grade that falls into the upper 10%. Regarding my professional experience, I have been working for the Government since 2015, slowly working my way up until my current position as Manager in a government agency. Additionally, I have been leading an NGO to promote youth participation in development processes. Something that I think might help to bring attention to my profile is that I have experience in cooperation projects with Germany, which has helped me to strongly justify my interest on pursuing a Masters in Germany.

Also, this is my second time applying to this scholarship. I was shortlisted back in 2018 but to a different University. At that time, I didn't get it.
