loves_cdse_nanocrystals Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 I just heard back from Columbia! So excited! Does anyone know what being a dean's fellow means? I saw on the results page that others got it, but the email was super vague.
timothychem Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Hi there! I believe I got the same email as you. As I understand it, it's just the typical package that most chem PhD programs provide that covers tuition + your stipend + health insurance. I think Columbia just has a fancy name for it lol.
isk20 Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Current Columbia Chem student. The Dean's Fellowship supports all first- and second-year students in the department, and after that, you get funding either through external fellowships (like the GRFP) or your PI. timothychem 1
