UC Berkeley – EECS class is fifteen percent black

I see people getting rejected who have 3.9+ GPAs, high GREs and Letters of Recommendation from top Professors at reputable institutions.
I am in no way claiming all of those black people are unqualified.
However this seemed like a concerted effort from Black in AI so it is likely black students got admitted with lower GPAs. This is unfair.

I do not think it's ethically or legally right. Diversity is great and I am a proponent for it but black CS grads make up 7-8% so 15% is not normal.

So they practiced overt affirmative action.

Why should there be a quota for how many people of a certain race or ethnicity should be admitted?

I suggest you spend some time with yourself and figure out why something good happening to someone else feels like a personal assault.
