Congrats!! Did you get an official letter? I was also accepted by phone today and told that the award package info will arrive by letter very soon.

No! I'm an international applicant so I received an email today afternoon from the mfa's chair explaining the acceptance, the award and possible faculty I could be interested in. They said the letter would come in a few days.

Painting/drawing person here, I was accepted to UMASS at dartmouth! it really looks like a dream but I have doubts I can make the money work. anyone with any hot tips on asking for more feel free to slide in the DMs.

I also interviewed at SUNY Purchase, but no response yet. that was a week and a half ago.

If you reach out through the right channels it seems like it's not a bad option at all!

Last year when I applied and got rejected (different program) I heard back in 3 weeks, so no news is good news right now I guess??

 Indiana University and Ohio University for Ceramics (definitely different programs than I see others on this board applying to, so I feel like that's a contributing factor to the decision timelines being different).

It's known in ceramics that schools like to reach out around NCECA (big clay conference) and that's happening next week, so I am thinking if I do not hear by March 15th (2 months since I applied), then I am going to email. I worry that I'll be seen as pestering them but I could also see it as 'taking initiative'. I don't even know anymore LOL

I feel the exact same way - not sure if it is initiative or showing interest in the program or being annoying! I have been trying to decide whether to email all week. 
 

I am waiting to hear back from cranbrook and university of Arkansas after interviews in February for painting. I know cranbrook won’t release decisions until later in the month but I was expecting to hear from UArk by now. If anyone has heard from them let me know!

With all of the programs I applied to there was a contact email provided on the program's webpage, and if not, I got an email after I applied that was like "Hi, we've received your application please reach out to ___ with any questions" and provided a contact email there!

Nothing yet! Even with all the VCU interviews I've seen on this forum I don't know if any of them have been with the painting/printmaking department.

In this particular case the person whose contact was provided is currently on leave and I don’t know whether it is totally inappropriate to email the professors who interviewed me directly

Oh interesting! Hmm that's definitely trickier and it's hard when you don't know how they'll respond to you reaching out, but in the case that your contact person is on leave, I really think that makes it fine to reach out to them ?‍♂️

I asked them last week and they said "The Graduate Admissions Committee met recently. You should be hearing from them soon." 

But I thought they sent interview invitations or acceptance letters until now.

I just sent an email that was on the Admission page and they answered me the next day.

Hi, 

I just got admitted to the University of Washington Photo/Media! They are kinda pressuring me to make a decision in the next couple weeks, but there are still a couple schools I haven't heard back from. 

The other schools I applied to are(all photo):

Massart-interview-said they would get back to me in "early April"

U of Arizona-Accepted with tuition waiver & TAship

UCLA-nothing

Yale-denied

Good luck to everyone as admission decisions roll in!
