Have not decided yet! Thank you I'm starting to feel like they won't be having a cohort this upcoming year ? Haven't heard anything either.
Salsasanasa Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 (edited) Anyone else accepted to VCU painting/print? Edited April 4, 2022 by Salsasanasa
gizmo Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Anyone else waiting to hear back from NYU Painting or SUNY Stony Brook Studio Art?
eatyoveggies Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 if anyone is waiting on Indiana, I emailed and they said they sent out acceptances. If you haven't heard back I recommend emailing bc they can let you know if you were rejected or on the waitlist.

Feel like someone posted a while back they'd heard back from NYU Photography? Don't know if that falls under Studio Art since it's an interdisciplinary program.
ricecake Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Hi everybody. Is there anybody who has some ideas for comparing SMFA and Brooklyn College? I wanna make artworks in NY, but now it is not safe. The number of crimes has skyrocketed compared to before the pandemic. But in Boston, there are few galleries and I haven't heard of good achievements of SMFA’s alumni.

That’s awesome though! Maybe you’ll find an even better fit. friendlyvoidcritter 1

I'm inclined to believe so, since the department closely aligns to my undergraduate degree and and the interest I have in bookmaking + zines.
hairyeyeball Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 I've seen some current/recent students posting about Bard here, sounds like their MFA program is struggling to keep up with the strains and challenges of the pandemic. Did anyone here interview for Bard?I 'm curious to hear about other people's interviews, insights on the program, and where you're at with it now... I'm on the wait list.
lilyxia99 Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Hi everyone. I haven't been posting here but just want to let everyone know that I receive the rejection letter from CMU, and I finally decided to go to VCU. Haven't received scholarship from Calarts maybe because I didn't pay the deposit. lol beeebeeeebeebeebo, hairyeyeball and Eric from America 3
beeebeeeebeebeebo Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 still waiting on UCONN, wondering if anyone has heard a word yet? this is a rough wait tomatoriot 1
f.m.m Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 There is no reason why US universities can't respond and prepare results for their applicants after 3 months! In my country, it is unacceptable and even sometimes, illegal. In there, even if they need more time to make a decision, they publish an announcement or send an email. Considering the application fee is about half of a month's salary, I'm so upset and angry that it was wasted. There was no respect for our time. eatyoveggies, ricecake, gizmo and 1 other 1 3
ORRI Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Hi I need some advice. My practice is mainly about social practice. U-Michigan (2-y program) : amazing funding (for any kind of production and travel) and exceptional facility (duderstardt center), a lot of scholarly opportunities. literally 0 costs for 2 years. Center for Asian studies. CMU (3-y program): amazing faculty and competitive students, fit to my practice, opportunities to work with neighboring museums, but 32000 $ for 3 years. What will you choose?

Faculty at CMU is good but CMU as a school overall is a bit deficient in the humanities and social sciences, in as much as you can take courses at UPitt. If having that context available is important to you, don't overlook it.
