beldani Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 i just found this forum a few days ago and i'm freaking out with everyone else, lol. glad to know i'm not the only one tortured by the wait. one question, are there any other CNF applicants in this group? i've seen decisions being sent out for poetry and fiction, but it seems like there's radio silence on CNF and i'm getting nervous

dagreenkat Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Congrats to the UC Irvine admits! I've got Brown, Arizona, Virginia, Michigan, South Carolina, and Boston left (fingers crossed on one of them!). Aside Michigan, it looks like the schools tend to notify in March so I might be in for a dry spell. Not looking forward to that again. What's everyone else looking forward to? Wishing everyone the best of luck! Blaze 1

Wishing everyone the best of luck! Not to dampen your outlook, but someone in the Draft group on Facebook received an acceptance for fiction at South Carolina on Monday. However, looking at previous results posted here, some people were notified much later / made it to waitlist well after the acceptances went out, so not all is lost!

Leeannitha Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Also for CNF people: Someone on Draft just recently got an email acceptance to WashU if anyone applied there, too. Not sure how many people get in or how staggered the results are or anything just thought I’d let you guys know. Maybe it is more likely to be an email than a call for some schools?

Yeah, I applied for fiction but am assuming I should expect a rejection letter since I did not receive an email lol. Anyone know soon do they send out the rejection notifications after acceptances?

treaux Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 (edited) There's an acceptance to University of Montana for poetry up on the results board... Has there been anything posted on Draft about fiction? Edited February 8, 2023 by treaux freakgods 1
gremlingirl Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 first of all, a huge CONGRATS to those who have already been accepted to programs!! also congrats to those who may have already received some rejections-- you're f*cking rockstars. it seems to me like there is an overwhelming amount of positivity on here and on Draft, with tons of acceptances posted already. what an exciting time!! with my programs not sending out notifications until mid feb-march, i'm just enjoying watching everyone else hear back. i am a bit concerned, however, that my top program might notify later than usual this year. the letters of recommendation-- usually due two weeks after the application-- aren't required until over a full month after this year's due date. am i reading too much into this, or should i expect to hear back much later than expected? am i just being crazy? help beldani and dagreenkat 2

Probably the school can complete most of its review process without having them in, and then use the recs to sort out the top contenders. So you could still hear at the normal time. It’s really up to so many factors we’ll never be privy to. gremlingirl 1

loveujungkook Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Hi guys, I hope you're all doing well!! Another applicant waiting for results but hearing radio silence so far, lol the wait is killing me! Has anyone heard of fiction acceptances for Virginia Tech? I saw there was a poetry acceptance but wasn't sure if there had been any fiction ones on draft or anything... Norwood 1
