Postbib Yeshuist Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Ordered mine the day they were announced, so I'm eagerly awaiting August 27th. Anyone else hop on the bandwagon?
blingblang Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I got my Kindle 2 in the mail the day before they announced the K3. I debated sending it back and getting my full refund, then using that to pre-order a K3, but I love my K2 too much already to be without for a few weeks. The K3 looks nice, but the differences aren't big enough between the K2/K3 for me to send mine back. Ordered mine the day they were announced, so I'm eagerly awaiting August 27th. Anyone else hop on the bandwagon?
Thanks4Downvoting Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I'm one of those unfortunate souls who love books in their hands or at least paper. I can't concentrate or take in information nearly as well on devices.
Sarah S. Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I'm going to get one as soon as I have some money. I still have a 1st gen Kindle, that cost over $300. It sort of makes me want to cry, knowing how cheap they are now!
rachaelski Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I got my Kindle 2 in January. I love it. I figure it will keeping me going until the next generation comes out. I only use it for leisurely reading though. I still need the real thing for marking on for classes.
juilletmercredi Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I got a Kindle 2 last Christmas season when they were around $260. I still get a little bitter when I see all the improvements with the new generation accompanied by a lower price sticker, but hey, that's the way of the world in electronics I suppose. In any case, I love it. I'm also one of those people who prefers the feeling of paper and books in my hand, but having a Kindle doesn't mean you have to exclusively read on it. It's very convenient to carry around, especially on the subways and buses or when you want to pop it out in the waiting room or something.
