And what sort of time requirement is tied to the stipend? I've gotten two offers, both funded. The first offer comes with a $16,000 stipend per year - I would be teaching my own undergrad course beginning in September. Teaching right off the bat makes me nervous because I've never taught before. The second offer is $12,000 per semester, but I wouldn't get a stipend (or have an assistantship) until the second semester. So my first year stipend would be $12,000 and my second year I would get the full $24,000. I just want to see how these offers align with offers other applicants are getting. I was told they were going to release all decisions by Monday and my portal and email haven't gotten anything. This was my 2nd application cycle and I applied to painting programs. Lots of acceptances! I haven't heard back from ArtCenter (applied for 3-year graphic design) and I'm not sure if I will hear back at this point. I think GradCAS is having problems because my first email didn't have an attachment, but after I emailed, I got another email that was exactly the same (but with attachments) and another one from the Grad Program Coordinator! MIT: Rejected UCLA: No news yet (or interview) CalArts: Half tuition Parsons: Full tuition Feeling very inclined to go with Parsons unless UCLA comes out of nowhere. Looks like there are also teaching options at Parsons to help cover some cost of living in NYC.
