there were two status updates about Columbia's urban planning PhD, one acceptance and one waitlist. the acceptance post says they were notified on Feb 2, which seems oddly early for GSAPP... any idea what's going on with their admissions?

Rutgers and USC results went out (according to Gradcafe). I didn't apply to them, I just wish the universities I did apply to would hurry and release results.

I know MIT for sure release results first week of March and UMD does late March. But all other universities are supposed to be in February and the wait has been painful.

Any PhD applicants got an interview invite from the university of Michigan? It is my top program so I want to know if I should just lose all hope. Anticipating things hurt and I would just rather know I didn't get an interview than wait.

Oh I see! Best of luck! What did the portal update say?

Out of curiosity did you get interviewed for GSAPP? Did you get an email from one of the POIs?

Do you think they have already sent out the acceptances?

I honestly don't know if they're doing the interviews later than previous years (they usually do them late Jan, early feb). I tried emailing the department but only got (decisions will be out by beginning of March and didn't get an answer regarding interviews)

i never got interviewed  and didn't receive any contact from my POI

I just got a status update on UIC’s portal that says “Additional Review Required” - does anyone know what that might mean?

Mine changed to this too, a few posts that said this means the department has recommended your app for admission and now it's being reviewed by the graduate school. There are some old posts on gradcafe where people were rejected after receiving this status. Hopefully it means they're sending out decisions soon either way and hopefully its good news!

Just got an email from UIC! I’ve been admitted ($5k scholarship). Good luck to you!!
