lrbss Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Hello, international student here. applied to Brown, Northwestern, Cornell, Stanford, USC, Upenn, NYU, CUNY and Rutgers. got already rejected from Stanford and I know Cornell is doing interviews but I haven’t heard from them so far so I’m losing hope for that.

They received roughly 300 apps for 4 slots. that was one of my top choices 🥲

Then, did you interview with the advisor or just get an email? Do you know whether they will do some interviews for student selection?

But I saw one person adding in the results page that they have been contacted for an interview at Brown for the MCM program.

MarryingACommStud Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Hello! My fiance applied to six programs for comm studies with a focus on public memory. Admitted to Alabama, funding decisions are still pending. Waiting on 5 more schools: UTAustin, UKansas, UIllinois, UMD, Penn. I'm pretty sure UMD sent out interview requests, so we're thinking he's pending rejection from UMD. It sounds like Kansas also sent out interviews so probably a rejection there too. We're hoping to hear from UTAustin and UIllinois this week.

If you applied for Mass Comm- Life Science Comm, then you should see accept/ reject from you portal. If you applied for Mass Comm- Journalism (just as me), I heard that some applicants have already received email of conversation invitation (which = accepted). My portal shows my application is still in review without rejection.
