Is it possible this is due to their open "religious affiliation"? This ended up being the reason I didn't apply after reading about the student cohort there on reddit, it was also my first reason to post here because I was so taken aback by that in the application process 😅 It's looking really bleak with some of the schools... I've been holding my breath for WashU, it's a program that really speaks to me, so the fact that it might be cut... then again as an international I'm starting to think my status might also be extremely precarious in the US if I was to get in anywhere?

Not that anyone has the answers to this but it's starting to make me super anxious. This has been my dream for so long.

I can't say for sure since I don't know the intricacies of NIH funding, but Notre Dame has a HUGE private endowment (50% greater than that of WashU.)

Does anyone have any thoughts/ideas/random guesses as to when Texas NWP, Oregon, and/or Virginia will come out?

Based on past Gradcafe years, UVA almost always releases their rejections on a Sunday or Monday, but it's normally the first Sunday or Monday in March, so it's still about a week early for them.

happy monday everyone! are we expecting news from nyu this week? when did acceptances go out in previous years?

If past years are accurate indicators, then this week looks likely 🙏🤞

I called Vanderbilt decisions when they came out so I'm gonna try again.... WashU and NYU let's go

Idk if you’ve looked at the previous replies, but WashU has allegedly paused admission for grad students coming into School of Arts and Sciences (which houses English dept and thus mfa). So, they’re probably waiting on an institutional level to see if they have to make cuts to admissions.

anyone else get anything from hunter? saw 1 interview posted on draft, thinking maybe all of them have gone out and the others just haven't been reported yet? kinda interpreting as rejection either way lol

What places are people still waiting on?

I've got 8 left (I still have some soft rejections).

I'm waiting on Wyoming, UNLV, and CU Boulder. For funding, I'm waiting to hear back from CSU and Naropa.

What places are you waiting on if you don't mind me asking? (It's okay if you do mind, I won't pry lol)

NYU and Columbia. I'm already planning my year assuming I won't be attending an MFA.

Dang, between iowa and notre dame, i've picked up quite a few soft rejections lately. I started this round with a waitlist that really gave me hope, but that's been my only good news the entire time. But! I still have quite a few pending schools, and as we always say, you only need one. We march on.

I don't mind! I've received no word from UNLV, CU Boulder, Maryland, UVA (Which I know is usually March, LSU (which is also late march ah), New Writers Project, Virginia Tech.

I'm also waiting for Mississippi because I made it round 2.

I didn't look up much about CSU's program but I love Colorado. So, hope you get good news from them soon! And best of luck with the others :)

I'm currently waitlisted at vanderbilt (no way that's gonna happen) and pending on NYU and Brown. Should've applied to more schools but I got so overwhelmed with the process so... for next year lol

(Technically Iowa but counting it as a soft rejection atm), UVA, NYU, University of Oxford (interviewed last week), and University of Edinburgh. Everything is fine 🔥 I'm fine ☠️

Hoping the best for you, but wanna reaffirm the HUGE win in the Vandy waitlist! #10 is rough, but pulling for you 🙏🤞 Nashville is awesome.

UMD is usually the 2nd week of March and one of the last schools to release. I would guess another 2 weeks for them. UVA is usually first or second weekend in March.
