Although, I'm not sure what the chances are of it turning into an acceptance since there aren't as many schools that do phases. but I'm very thankful and excited either way! I don't wanna get anyones hopes up incorrectly, but I'd suspect that you'd only get declined at this point if there was something keeping you from general acceptance (gpa too low for the grad school, no degree, etc). Not to falsely build any hope for you, but I do wonder if Vanderbilt and other Southern US schools will see higher decline rates from accepted applicants because of the increasingly draconian and anti-humanitarian sociopolitical climate there especially, never mind the country as a whole.
