jiko1 Posted September 12 Posted September 12 (edited) Hopefully they award more awards this competition (as promised). Also hoping they are consistent with their scoring.. Edited September 12 by jiko1 bookmouse 1
bookmouse Posted September 13 Author Posted September 13 What committee did everyone apply to? Any repeat applicants here, like me? Last year I applied to Committee 1, my score was recommended for funding but not enough funding to be awarded. This year, I changed the direction of my project and applied to Committee 2. Fingers crossed!
jiko1 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Committee 3. Third time. I came so, so close last time. I just hope it is not a "lottery" as I've heard a few people say.

Fingers crossed! Committee 3, first-timer to the postdoc cycle. @bookmouse Thanks for sharing! Did you find it difficult to switch project directions? Did you have to find a new prospective supervisor?
AWD Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Committee 4. Second time. Changed my research project quite a bit to “match” closer to what they want from my understanding. Maybe my memory is off: why did I remember the funding for last year was 45000 each year, and this year is 70000? Can anyone correct me on this please? End of February. We will see.

Yes the gov increased it in April 2024. The winners in feb this year were lucky and got 70k instead of 45k (per year).
