I got a Chinese fortune cookie today. It reads:

"The coming month shall bring winds of change in your life."

This is the first time I have heard back from grad schools. Not sure if this is good news. I plan to hear back this month from the only grad school I applied to. Interestingly the city its in in not very windy, but maybe I am reading too deep into it. Only time will tell.

Here's hoping that that fortune cookie is correct with respect to your application!

For the first time ever I saved a fortune from a fortune cookie: "The best profit of future is the past." Of course I think it was intended as "prophet," but if I get in to grad school then hopefully I'll have some "profit" as well. :)

sounds like that one was aimed at me, since my career is in ruins.... oh sorry, bad archaeology pun... but yes, my "future profit" is in the "past".... yikes.

Hah! Thanks... plenty more bad puns where that comes from!

I never get fortunes any more! I think all the Chinese restaurants I visit do "wisdom" cookie crap or something lame like that.
