bsol Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 I got a Chinese fortune cookie today. It reads: "The coming month shall bring winds of change in your life." This is the first time I have heard back from grad schools. Not sure if this is good news. I plan to hear back this month from the only grad school I applied to. Interestingly the city its in in not very windy, but maybe I am reading too deep into it. Only time will tell. repatriate and coffeem8 2
newms Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Here's hoping that that fortune cookie is correct with respect to your application!
qbtacoma Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 For the first time ever I saved a fortune from a fortune cookie: "The best profit of future is the past." Of course I think it was intended as "prophet," but if I get in to grad school then hopefully I'll have some "profit" as well. wreckofthehope 1
neshmi Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 sounds like that one was aimed at me, since my career is in ruins.... oh sorry, bad archaeology pun... but yes, my "future profit" is in the "past".... yikes.

katerific Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) I never get fortunes any more! I think all the Chinese restaurants I visit do "wisdom" cookie crap or something lame like that. y'knawmsayin'? Edited January 31, 2011 by katerific
