PhD English - 2026 Application Cycle

Waiting for waitlist decisions is killing me. At this point my job needs to know if I'm gonna be here next year and the fact that I still can't answer in APRIL is so stressful.

Ahh, thank you! Feeling a bit embarrassed about my rant now, lol. But my fingers are crossed! At this point I’m going out for champagne no matter what the answer is, because I’ll be able to move forward/be released from this prison of my own making!

I applied to 13 PhD programs, 3 of which also have MA programs and you can easily apply to them in the same portal (without providing different materials).

Thank you. I think the only school like that on my list is Fordham. I read that Boston College puts everyone in the same pool.

If anyone has any experience at all with Yale or Boston University, it would be tremendously helpful if you could PM me. All my advisors/recommenders are saying Yale would be the best fit for me, and I really like the sound of what is happening at Boston U.
