ComparativeScholar Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Also, I have been waitlisted at UC Davis Phd program. If anyone plans to choose other PhD programs; I would appreciate if you can notify the Department so that the department might also switch for waitlisted applicants.
OBD Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Upitt had offered 12 students this year, I was on of 'em. But I declined the offer today. So those who are on the waitlist, wait for the good news. My subfield is IR and Method. Thanks!

Ajj786 Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Hi! Does anyone know the timeline for waitlist movement? I was waitlisted at Rice a couple months back. If anyone was accepted and does not plan to attend, please turn down your offer so those of us on the waitlist have a chance as we approach the decision deadline 🙏🏽

I just accepted my top choice and declined my other offers today, but it really wasn't tied to anything in particular regarding programs and their timing. I'm guessing a lot of students are making decisions as all factors, not just their decisions, fall into place. OBD 1

OBD Posted April 15 Posted April 15 For those who are waitlisted at their top-choice school but have other offers in hand, how are you making your decision?
Lorne Malvo Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I hate to be that guy, but it's April 15th, and all of us here who are waitlisted would be really thankful if you declined the offers you do not intend to accept! politicat and Ajj786 1 1

I have heard from friends that applied to MAs that they asked to postpone the response deadline until they received offers from all places. Some received an extra week or even more. Idk if it will work the same for PhD, but it's worth trying. Good luck!!

heartintheclouds Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Should waitlisted applicants assume rejection if no further notification has been given by April 15?
